Corfu, a better place to live!!

Corfu is an island that attracts millions of people every year. It has many positive elements , and for this reason will not change something obvious, but trifles. 

•           For example I would prefer beaches in some areas to be more thoughtful and clear 

                    to close more tourists. Saying this , I want to point out that tourists coming to the island                      

                    did not think to look after and maintain beauty that hide the coasts. 

      The beach at Peroulades at North-West Corfu is one of the most beautiful and impressive of the           island. Is sandy with shallow waters.

        

• Moreover ,tourism is a beneficial factor for the island and for this reason , it would be good to improve and create more facilities to better serve the tourists. As well as tariffs for rent of facilities would prefer to be more accessible and friendly to the visitors of our island, in order to increase significantly the proportion of gurrent tourism on the island.

• Finally, something that bothers me enough, is that the conservation and maintenanceof separate monuments, has been forgotten and neglecting them has worn out manypieces. From Corfu have passed many famous names and have admired the beauty of the island, it is a pity to disappoint both visitors and the creators of these works. So it would be good to create some special volunteer groups who will have theresponsibility for the preservation and maintenance of monuments.

A Better and Different Rivio

                          A Better and Different Rivio

Ever though my village hasn't got a lot of residents and shops it is very beautiful and lively. It's major attraction is it's natural landscapes which haven't been touched by people. Nevertheless i would like to change a lot of things.

First of i would like the local authorities to build a new playinground which will be larger and safer than our old one which is in a pluce near the street. In this way the parents wouldn't be afraid that something might happen to their kids and they will leave them play freely.

Furthermore more supermarkets so than people don't have to go to the nearest city to buy the necessary for thei homes. This way more many will be saved.

    Another thing i'd like is a basketball field for the children to go there and have fun in their free time with their friends.

A Better Amfilochia

Amfilochia is a little beautiful town near the sea. However, it is a city with problem and lack of facilities.

One of the main problems that must be addressed to front in order to make our city better is the road dredge. Because of Amfilochia's location, which is the only access from the western Central Greece to Epirus makes daily life often difficult because of the traffic. Even the narrow and damaged roads in the area are cause for many accidents. Therefore it should be built better roads to facilitate all.

Still need to improve our city is the construction of parks and recreational facilities for young people. It would be a pleasant change for all residents where they could enjoy their walks in a nice and clean park. It would be more safe since children they are indoors away from the busy streets of Amfilochias. Also within the area of the park could be realized several events of the municipality, especially during the summer season, since now they cannot take place beacause of the minimun space. It would be even better if it was built a cinema or a theater in order to allow people have more hobbies and do more activities. In general it would be a pleasant change since our city does not have spaces for recreation of the inhabitants.

Finally something that many young people would like is a sports center which not only includes the usual sports but even sports that can not be done in Amfilohia because of the lack of space. The center should fully equipped without depriving athletes necessary equipments as it is now. Due to the large area that can be used by the municipality for the sports center can construct separate pitches depending on the type of sport.

These are some of the measures that should be taken to make our city better and all to enjoy a better quality of life.

My dream village!!!

It's a fact that Katouna is a village with immeasurable beauties , due to the fact that it is situated in a mountainous area.

Nevertheless, the inhabitants are not used to taking care of all these beauties and they exploit the environment in a awful way.

If I were the mayor of my village "Katouna", I would try to change it positively with some simple steps!

In general, I would try to fix both the environment and as a result of it the economics of the area.

 

First of all, because of the huge extents of land and fields ,a good idea of saving up energy would be to be installed some photovoltaic

systems.It's well known that the photovoltaic systems absorb the energy of the sun and they modify it into electric energy.

The photovoltaic systems are a source of both electricity and solar heating that replace the electric energy spoiling the environment.

Another renewable source of energy are the wind turbines that in this case, they modify the air into energy.

Both systems save up energy in a more economic way.

Secondly,some new recycling bins have to be placed.In a village like Katouna which has many inhabitants ,there is also much garbage.

Consequently, if all these garbage recycled, the whole area would be much more clean and beautiful and in tandemn the environment would

be improved.

 

Another simple step that have to be taken and it is suitable for the young people ,would be the creation of  a club which will contain much 

infrastructure and amenities such as different sports and hobbies.In addition to that, this club will give the opportunity to the young people

in order to socialize.

 

I hope that had these steps been taken , the village would have  been perfect and it would have satisfied both young and older people!!!
