Corfu , a paradise!

The Corfu is one of the most beautiful islands in Greece. Many tourists from different parts of the world travelling to the island every year to spend their holidays. Fun arrives to extremes sometimes, strangers celebrate till morning at beaches with bonfires and drinks, music and plenty of flert. It is an island, which has not ever Turkish slavery. It is famous for its architecture which has features stolen from the Venetian architecture.

Corfu and the Ionian Islands generally have a distinct accent singer. It is generally an island that has been influenced by many cultures as by the Venetians and Franks. The island of the phaeacians is famous for Easter, a fact which many want to see, because it is one of the most unique customs. More specifically, the inhabitants of the island on Easter Saturday after the first Resurrection come out on balconies and Windows and throw the so-called Corfiot to exorcise the evil as saying the earlier. Also another special custom is known to all Barkarwla. On August 11, celebrating the fact that the Turks were unable to get to the island and said that it helped them the Agios Spiridonas and for this in honor of St. celebrate the litany of morning and night followed by the Barkarwla.

There are many reasons to visit Corfu, but certainly one reason is to see up-close theunique way that people celebrate Easter. The Agios Spyridonas is Patron Saint of the island of Corfu. The Church was built in 1589 and has many wonderful items and wonderful pictures.

Many famous names have passed from Corfu, one of them was and Rena Vlachopoulou, born in Corfu and conquered many people through the movie with the madness and the peculiar accent that use on the island.

     Beaches with fine and golden sand can be found on the award-winning for its beach Glyfada, Afios Gordis, Sidari, Roda, in the Dasia, in Paleokastritsa and in other areas.

   Beautiful and pristine, Chomi is one of several beaches on the Greek island of
Corfu that can only be reached by sea.

    

       You have certainly heard about the most famous attraction of Corfu which is the islet opposite      Cannon, on which is the Church of blachernae (Istanbul) and the famous Pontikonissi.

The cuisine of the island is one of the most famous kitchens. Worth a try especially their dishes. Some of these are the Sofrito, Pastitsada and the Bourdeto (spicy fish). Although not as well known to tourists, a sweet that you should try is the koytsoyloi piperatoi. It is a dessert a little misunderstood for its name, but the taste will overwhelm you, combines sweet and spicy with a combination of fine against the opinion of Corfu. Ginger beer, is a type of soda that prefer foreigners and Americans in particular. In addition, the kumquat is a fruit that produces exclusively Corfu, which came from China and today is one of the most discussed fruits, because with this fruit can make various products such as liquors, marmalade, preserves etc.
